I'll come out and say it.
I love Julianna Margulies. Or rather, her acting abilities. I have no idea what she's like in person, but she's been one of my favorite actresses since I first saw her in the ER pilot (Thank you, reruns on TNT!).

Vampire Diaries + The Beautiful Life: TBL
(Prepare for some comma abuse)
Although I've probably said it before, I'll say it again. The CW =/= quality television. It's just a step below what I like to call "comfort food television," something that CBS is well known for. If you're willing to park yourself in front of the TV for good and enjoyable entertainment, The CW is the place to go.

Emmy Predictions
...I may be a little late in the game, but at least I'm doing this before the actual show begins!
BEST COMEDY SERIES
Entourage
Family Guy
Flight of the Conchords
How I Met Your Mother
The Office
30 Rock
Weeds
I would never be surprised by a 30 Rock win. They dominated the major comedy categories last year, and with more nominations now, a win would most likely be inevitable. However, I'll still be rooting for How I Met Your Mother, which just came off one of its best seasons. Plus, having one of its stars be the choice pick for an Emmy Category AND the host of the entire show may give it some advantage.

Melrose Place + 90210
SPOILERS
A rather short review for good reasons. These shows, like their predecessors, have some of the most erratic plot lines. If I remember correctly, Kelly (Jennie Garth), from the original 90210, got addicted to diet pills, caught in a fire, raped, pregnant, apparently had amnesia, shot her rapist, had a miscarriage (from said pregnancy), joined a cult, and dated about a dozen or so men. In the 90s. In the era where television was just starting to emerge from family friendly (and Full House was finally going off the air). In the 2000s, however, sex, violence, and swearing (bleeped out on Southland, allowed on cable) are abundant on television. So what would you expect from reboots of two of the 90s naughtiest shows?

Supernatural + Sons of Anarchy
These premieres can be an ordeal, no matter how good they may be. Considering the fact that I can't watch many of them, or simply don't have a DVR capable of recording them all, I've decided to link you to a some of the shows I couldn't recap. I will try to do every premiere this week (one of my favorites of the year) but the delay between the actual airing and the blog may take a couple days.

if the balloon pops, the noise makes the angels cry
Spoilers!
Oh, Glee, I was beginning to wonder when you would come back. When I heard back in June that you would be early September, my hopes were high. In July, when it was announced that you would be pairing up on Wednesdays with So You Think You Can Dance, the perfect partner, my head about burst in anticipation. When in August, however, Variety reported that some of your first episodes were a little shaky and proclaimed you as a "one hit wonder," my heart sank. And when watching the first 20 minutes or so of the series premiere (the second episode, actually), I started to believe them.

Emmy Snubs Pt. 1
It's been over a month since the nominations came out, but I figured I should go ahead and toss my hat into the ring. I'll be doing a few of these for ones I see fit.

Greek + Scoop!
Mild Spoilers! If you haven't seen Greek's season premiere, skip down to the bottom!
Oh, Casey, you are so unbelievably unlucky in love. First, you go and date, according to one of your sorority sisters, a hot geek. I quote: "He was a nerd, but he was hot. It was just so confusing."
That would be the average humor of each joke on Greek. I wouldn't regard it as a guilty pleasure show, but it's definitely not going to be on my favorites list. It's a rather simplistic, kind look at college life. There's nothing truly dramatic going on in this series, which is exactly why it's on ABC Family.
